Test principle
The Creatine Kinase (CK) test kit is based on an enzymatic coupling method. In the reaction, phosphocreatine and ADP are concerted into creatine and ATP. The generated ATP then reacts with glucose catalyzed by hexokinase (HK), resulting in glucose-6-phosphate (G-6-P), which reacts with NADP+ to produce NADPH and 6-phospho-D-gluconate.
The concentration of CK can be calculated from the changing rate of absorbance detected at 340 nm.
