Testing Principle
During the assay, CRE is converted to creatine by creatininase. Creatine is converted to sarcosine in the presence of creatinase. Sarcosine is then oxidized, and the product reacts with the probe, generating red quinochrome, concentration of which can be determined by the colorimetric method. The concentration of CRE can be calculated from that of red quinochrome.
